Introduction to Perfectly Marvellous Musicals-

Hello I'm Esmeralda the creator of Perfectly Marvellous Musicals, a blog about musical theatre dedicated to sharing my love of musicals of all kinds, reviews, opinions, history and best of all analysis. I created this blog purely share my passion as an interesting read and resource for others, who are as infatuated with musicals, as I am.

An overview of my site:

My blog was created out of love so you can find regular updates. There is a mailing and members list that will provide quick and easy to access updates and news regarding this blog and musical theatre in general. The kind of content I will provide will be of musicals I have seen or am going to see. It will contain analysis of different aspects of certain shows such as costume, lighting and so much more. News and opinions on what's coming up on the west end now or soon. As well as covering timelines of shows, their origins and history as well as actors and writers.

About me: As I've said my name is Esmeralda and despite not wanting to talk about myself to much because that's not what anyone is here for I think before you spend your time reading my articles and opinions you should have the basics on me. I have grown up in a creative family with an enthusiastic mother who has always created and adored any of the arts. A dad and sister skilled in design, composition and photography. Then of course me, who has seen more musicals than a sane person probably should have. But what I always say is that creatives, especially those into musical theatre are the best. I am an artist and am fascinated by every aspect, person and skill involved in the making of a musical. I see it as a beautiful culmination of every art at it's finest. Of course there is also the age old question, what are my favourite musicals.

My list would be:

  1. Cabaret at the Kit Kat club

  2. Falsettos

  3. Waitress

  4. Little shop of Horrors

  5. Bonnie and Clyde

With honourable mentions to Les Miserable one of the most impactful shows I've ever seen. As well as Dear Evan Hansen, the show that got me fixated and obsessed with musicals more than I had been before.

I know this is a short article but who wants a long introduction when you can head back to the homepage and find an article on what you love and are interested in. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for visiting my site, I hope you enjoy your visit and come again.
